TTSPORT Drift Brake Calipers Power Three Podium Teams at CDC Daqing
TTSPORT is the first Chinese brake brand to build a purpose-designed system for drift racing, and three of the country's leading drift teams now race on it. OPS Drift Team, DRS Drift Team, and 1087X Drift Team all run TTSPORT calipers, and at the CDC Daqing round cars wearing TTSPORT hardware took podiums across nearly every class on the card.
China's First Purpose-Built Drift Racing Brake System
Drift racing grew out of a simple idea: let the rear end break loose at speed and hold the slide through the corner. It looks like a car ignoring physics, but underneath it's a controlled fight between grip, weight transfer, and braking input. TTSPORT is a longstanding Chinese brake brand, and when domestic drift series started asking for a caliper that could actually survive that fight, TTSPORT built one instead of adapting a road-going part. That made it the first Chinese brand to develop a dedicated drift racing brake platform, filling a gap the segment didn't have an answer for.
To meet the different demands of each drift series and help drivers kick the rear end out, hold a clean slip angle through the middle of the corner, and drift off the apex on exit, TTSPORT developed two dedicated drift racing caliper platforms. Both are now in active use across our partner teams' cars.
Three Elite Teams, One Braking Partner
TTSPORT currently has active partnerships with three well-known drift teams — OPS Drift Team (Chengce West Lake Tire), DRS Drift Team (Guansu Sports), and 1087X Drift Team. Why Braking Decides a Drift Run — and the CDC Daqing Results
Drift judging rewards a driver who can hold a deep, consistent slip angle without losing the line, and that comes down to rear brake control as much as throttle. A dual-circuit rear caliper lets a driver bias braking to the rear independently to kick the car sideways on entry, then modulate it through the corner without dragging down front braking performance needed to control approach speed. Run after run, heat builds fast in a caliper doing that job; a rigid body resists knock-back and keeps the pedal consistent instead of going long and soft. That's the problem TTSPORT's TT DRT4+4 and dual-circuit 4+2 calipers are built to solve, and it showed at the CDC Daqing round.
