At Xiamen International Circuit, a Porsche 911 (992) went from a 1:03.755 lap to 57.314 — nearly six seconds quicker — after two rounds of TTSPORT big brake kit upgrades, first to EMB6/EMB4 and later to the CTCC-spec TR65 front caliper.

No tire swap or power bump gets you six seconds on a technical circuit like this. It takes a brake system that actually matches the track's rhythm, releasing braking force and confidence at exactly the right point before every corner.

Xiamen International Circuit runs 2.7 km with 13 technical corners and several mid-to-high-speed braking zones, making it one of the more demanding mixed-speed tracks in Fujian province. It asks three things of a brake system: repeated hard stops without letting up, resistance to heat fade over a full session, and a braking point precise enough to hit lap after lap. Push a stock system into that kind of load and its limits show up fast.

A Driver Chasing Data, Not Excuses

The car's owner is a dedicated lap-time chaser. Power, suspension, tires, and chassis tuning were already dialed in for near full track duty — but the brakes were still stock. On his first timed run at Xiamen, the factory brakes turned a 1:03.755. Under sustained heat they faded quickly: the pedal went soft, stopping power dropped off, and the car couldn't hold a fast, repeatable rhythm through the corner sequence. That's what pushed him to look at a real brake upgrade.

The stock caliper had already done its job on the street. On a hot lap at Xiamen, though, it simply ran out of thermal margin — a common story with OEM brakes pushed into track duty.

Stage One: EMB6/EMB4 Cuts Nearly Four Seconds

Looking for a system that could bridge street driving and track days, the owner went with a TTSPORT EMB6 front and EMB4 rear caliper setup — a balanced upgrade built for exactly that kind of dual use. The kit uses a high-strength forged caliper body, external two-piece heat-management pistons matched to track-compound pads, and a heat-path design built for track-level thermal loads. The result was a more linear pedal, with a clearer, more repeatable braking point going into each corner.

Upgraded lap time: 59.100 seconds — nearly four seconds faster than the stock brakes.

Stage Two: Trying the CTCC-Spec TR65

At a CTCC (China Touring Car Championship) round, the owner saw the TTSPORT TR65 caliper in action on a professional grid car — running high heat, long stints, and full race intensity. The TR65 isn't a cosmetic race-look part; it's the actual caliper competing in CTCC, developed and tuned from real racing feedback. "If it can hold up through a full CTCC race, could my 911 take it a step further?" That question was enough to move him from the street-and-track EMB6 setup to the fully competition-grade TR65 up front.

The TR65 was co-developed with European design engineers to balance form and function. It's a one-piece forged body finished with five-axis CNC machining, a 12-hour stress-relief process, and electroplated coating. Internally it uses cross-drilled oil passages and differential-bore pistons; externally, geometric H-pattern ribs and multi-channel venting manage heat under sustained load. A quick-release pin and quick-change pad system make trackside service fast, and the caliper is compatible with either racing steel rotors or carbon-ceramic discs.

Final lap time: 00:57.314 — nearly six seconds faster than the stock-brake baseline.

The Numbers Behind the Lap Time

The gains here didn't come from stacking parts on top of each other. They came from TTSPORT treating braking as a full system — caliper rigidity, piston design, pad compound, and thermal management all working together, refined through real CTCC race experience.

As the braking point moved later into each corner, the driver's confidence went up with it. TTSPORT plans to keep drawing on its CTCC racing experience to build brake systems for street cars chasing that same margin.
