D1GP Thailand: TTSPORT Brakes Power Three Podium Finishes

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

TTSPORT-equipped drift cars swept three trophies at the 2025 D1GP Thailand round — Solo Champion, Tandem runner-up, and the Light Class title. Four cars ran the brand's DR6 and DR4+2 dual-circuit drift brake systems, and three of them came home with hardware.

D1GP Thailand pulled drivers from Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, and across Southeast Asia — a field deep enough that people call it drifting's World Cup. Tight, fast corners run back to back all afternoon in tropical heat, which punishes any brake system that can't hold its bite lap after lap.

Solo, Tandem, and Light Class Podiums

TTSPORT sent four cars into competition. Two ran into mechanical trouble unrelated to the brakes and didn't finish the way the teams hoped. The other two delivered:

Solo Champion

Davide Dorigo, Nissan 180SX

Tandem Runner-Up

Davide Dorigo, Nissan 180SX

Light Class Champion

Amirul, Nissan S15

Davide Dorigo's Double Podium and Amirul's Light Class Win

Thailand's own Davide Dorigo drove his Nissan 180SX to a Solo Championship and a Tandem second-place finish in the same weekend, running TTSPORT's DR6 & DR4+2 dual-circuit setup front to rear. In tandem battles, brake feel and timing matter as much as throttle — one late stab and the whole line collapses.

Malaysia's Amirul ran the same TTSPORT DR6 & DR4+2 dual-circuit system in his Nissan S15 and took the Light Class Championship on the back of a stable pedal and consistent bite through the whole run. Between the two drivers, TTSPORT-equipped cars landed in all three of the event's headline categories.

The Braking Angle: DR6 & DR4+2 Dual-Circuit Drift Brakes

Drift racing has a different braking problem than circuit racing. Drivers don't just need stopping power — they need to modulate front and rear brake bias independently, mid-slide, to hold an angle without breaking traction the wrong direction. That's the job the DR6 & DR4+2 dual-circuit setup is built for.

Independent front/rear circuits

Separate hydraulic circuits for front and rear let a driver dial in entry angle and rotation without one end fighting the other, which matters most in tandem battles where a half-second of hesitation opens a gap.

Heat-resistant materials, CNC-forged bodies

Repeated high-speed entries generate real heat at the rotor and pad interface. A caliper that flexes or a pad that fades loses pedal feel exactly when the driver needs it most — the forged body and heat-tolerant materials in the DR6 & DR4+2 keep the pedal consistent run after run.

Tuned with real drivers

TTSPORT developed the tuning with feedback from Chinese and international drift drivers, aiming the system specifically at "controllable drift" rather than raw stopping power.

TTSPORT on the Global Stage

D1GP Thailand adds to a growing list of international appearances for the brand, alongside CTCC, formula racing, and tuning shows abroad. The brand's line — performance is the goal, safety is the floor, race tech belongs on the street — is the thread running through all of it.

Three trophies from one event is a strong result, and the team is treating it as a starting point rather than a finish line. TTSPORT plans to keep running both the international drift circuit and street applications, with the same dual-circuit thinking behind DR6 & DR4+2 feeding future products.
