CTCC Shanghai Debut: New 2.0T Racer Runs TTSPORT Calipers

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

TTSPORT & YITRON Racing has built an all-new 2.0T Chery Arrizo 8 challenger for the CTCC TCS class, complete with a fresh livery and TTSPORT TR65 monobloc-forged calipers, and it's set to debut September 19-21 at Shanghai International Circuit.

A New Weapon for the TCS Class

The team's earlier rounds this season were fought in a 1.5T Honda FK7, going wheel to wheel against 2.0T cars. Even with strong driving putting the car on the podium more than once, the power deficit showed up everywhere that mattered — struggling to hold position on the straights, having to defend flat-out through the corners just to keep the gap.

Hustle alone wasn't going to close that gap. So the team committed to a full rebuild: a new 2.0T Chery Arrizo 8, built from the ground up and rolled out in a new visual livery for its first race weekend.

Why the Arrizo 8?

The Arrizo 8 brings a stiff chassis, real power potential, and a base that responds well to race-spec development. After a deep rework, the car gets more than just a bigger engine — the team also went through aerodynamics, suspension, and safety systems to bring it up to TCS-class standard.

This is a ground-up rebuild with one job: win a race at Shanghai International Circuit for the team.

TCS Class: China's Toughest Tuner Battleground

TTSPORT & YITRON Racing competes in CTCC's TCS class, widely regarded as the strongest domestic tuner-car category in China. Every car runs a 2.0T displacement cap, and build quality and performance sit close to international TCR spec. There's no getting lucky here — it's a straight fight on hardware and setup, and that's exactly the field the team wanted to step into with the new car.

Two Drivers, One Target

A strong car still needs the right hands on the wheel. Sun Zheng is the steady one — calm under pressure, good at reading a chaotic race and squeezing every bit of performance out of the car when it counts. Wang Wenbin is the young, aggressive counterpart, unafraid to push the limit on straight-line overtakes and in close corner fights.

One measured, one relentless — and with the new 2.0T car underneath them, they finally have the hardware to match their approach against the strongest teams in the class.

The Braking Core: TTSPORT TR65 Forged Calipers

Braking is the one system a race car can't fake its way around. A caliper body that flexes under repeated heat cycles loses clamping consistency, and pistons that can't share load evenly turn a firm pedal into a mushy, unpredictable one right when a driver needs to trust it most — deep into a braking zone at the end of a long straight, under load, with someone alongside.

The new Arrizo 8 runs the TTSPORT TR65 monobloc-forged race caliper to handle exactly that.

Monobloc Body

One-piece forged construction holds its shape under sustained heat and hydraulic pressure, resisting the flex that softens pedal feel late in a stint.

Differential Six-Piston Layout

Staggered piston sizing spreads clamping force more evenly across the pad, giving a more linear bite instead of a grabby front edge.

Fast Service in the Pits

Geometric H-rib reinforcement and multi-channel venting manage heat, while external quick-release pins and pads mean fast turnarounds between sessions.

That reliability under repeated hard stops is what lets the drivers keep attacking a braking zone instead of backing off to protect the car.

Green Flag at Shanghai International Circuit

The new 2.0T car makes its first start September 19-21 at Shanghai International Circuit, going up against the strongest field the TCS class has to offer. For TTSPORT & YITRON Racing, this weekend isn't just a race — it's the first real test of everything that went into the rebuild, from the chassis work to the calipers holding it all together under braking.
