Denza D9 Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Slim SL6

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026
Denza D9 MPV fitted with TTSPORT Slim SL6 six-piston big brake kit behind the stock 18-inch wheel

The Denza D9 has become a fixture in the premium new-energy MPV segment, and it's easy to see why: a spacious cabin, strong electric drive, and comfort suited to everything from family road trips to business travel. But that comfort and performance come with weight, and the factory brakes weren't built to keep up with it.

At over 2.3 tons fully loaded and with a powerful electric drivetrain, the D9 handles routine city driving fine. Push it harder — a fully loaded highway run, repeated hard stops, or tricky road conditions — and the stock brakes start to show their limits.

Owners report longer stopping distances, noticeable heat fade, and a pedal that goes soft after repeated hard braking at highway speed — the classic symptoms of a stock brake system that's simply undersized for the vehicle's mass. The pedal loses its linearity, and with it, driver confidence.

The catch for most D9 owners looking to upgrade: high-performance six-piston calipers are usually too big to clear the factory 18-inch wheels, forcing a switch to larger wheels, deeper offsets, or flange adapters just to make them fit. That adds cost and introduces fitment and safety questions many owners would rather avoid.

Vehicle & Kit Specs

TTSPORT built the SL6 specifically around the Denza D9's factory wheel geometry, so the kit installs directly behind the stock 18-inch wheels with no spacers or wheel swap.

Why It Works

TTSPORT SL6 six-piston forged caliper mounted behind Denza D9 18-inch OEM wheel

The SL6 caliper is a two-piece forged unit rather than a cast one. Forging produces a denser, stiffer body, which means less flex under hard braking and a firmer, more linear pedal feel — the caliper doesn't deform and eat pedal travel the way a heavier, flex-prone unit can.

Pairing that caliper with a 355mm high-carbon rotor adds mass and surface area over the stock disc, giving the system more thermal capacity to absorb heat during repeated hard stops. That's what addresses the fade the D9's factory brakes show under sustained highway braking.

  • Six-piston forged caliper spreads clamping force more evenly across the pad, shortening stopping distance versus the factory single-function caliper.
  • High-carbon rotor construction is built for heat resistance and faster dissipation, supporting repeated hard braking without the fade the D9 shows stock.
  • Developed against the D9's factory geometry, so the kit clears the stock 18-inch wheel — no flange adapters, no wheel upgrade needed.
  • Bolts in at the stock caliper location and retains the factory ABS and ESP systems.

FAQ

Does the TTSPORT SL6 kit fit the Denza D9's stock 18-inch wheels?
Yes. The SL6 kit was developed against the Denza D9's factory wheel data, so it installs directly behind the stock 18-inch wheels with no spacers, flange adapters, or wheel changes required.
What does the TTSPORT SL6 kit include for the Denza D9?
The front-axle kit includes the TTSPORT SL6 six-piston forged caliper, a 355mm high-carbon rotor, a vehicle-specific caliper bracket, TTSPORT high-performance pads, stainless steel brake lines, brake fluid, and mounting hardware.
Does installing the SL6 kit affect the Denza D9's ABS or ESP?
No. The kit mounts in the stock caliper location and is designed to retain the factory ABS and ESP electronic driving aids.
