Choosing Your Compound: A No-BS Guide

1. How Do You Drive? (Street, Spirited, or Track)

Be honest about your driving. This is the most important factor.

• Daily Driver: You want quiet, low-dust pads that work great when cold. Comfort is key. Think ceramic or premium organic pads.
• Spirited / Performance Street: You push your car on weekends and enjoy aggressive driving. You need more bite and better heat resistance. High-performance semi-metallic or hybrid ceramic pads are your jam.
• Dedicated Track Use: You're chasing lap times. You need pads that can handle extreme heat without fading. Noise, dust, and cold performance don't matter as much as consistent, brutal stopping power lap after lap.

2. What Rotors Are You Running?

Pads and rotors are a team. Make sure you're pairing them correctly.

• Standard Steel Rotors: Compatible with almost everything—ceramic, semi-metallic, and organic pads.
