TTSPORT Racing Team: Curing Porsche 718 Brake Fade in a 1-Hour Endurance Race
The Porsche 718 platform is a brilliant, mid-engine scalpel. But if you've ever pushed one hard on a track, you know its Achilles' heel: brake fade during long, grueling sessions. A one-hour endurance race, with a time-attack qualifier right before it, is the ultimate brake-killer.
So, we decided to prove our engineering. We took our fully-prepped 718 (built by 8090 Racing) to the GIC Super Track Festival—a gauntlet of all-day lapping—with a clear mission: win the race and prove our brakes are fade-proof.

🏆 The Result: A Masterclass in Consistency
At the start, our drivers settled into P2 and P3, chasing the leaders. In an endurance race, this is where the pressure builds and equipment starts to fail. While other cars fought with soft pedals and fading stopping power, our 718 just got more consistent.
Thanks to the incredible thermal stability of our brake setup, our drivers could brake later and harder, lap after lap. They methodically closed the gap, made the pass, and drove straight to a 1st place victory.
🛠️ The Tech That Won the Race: EMB6 & ES4 Brake Kit
Our engineers monitored brake data live from the pits. The driver's post-race feedback was exactly what we wanted to hear: "Outstanding. Virtually no fade, and a firm, confident pedal that felt on par with top-tier European brands."
This wasn't an accident. It was by design. The 718 was equipped with a complete TTSPORT braking solution, engineered specifically to work in concert.

Front: Mono Series “EMB6” 6-Piston Monoblock Caliper
The "EMB6" is our flagship. It's CNC-machined from a single (monoblock) piece of forged aluminum, making it incredibly stiff for a rock-solid pedal feel. But its real secret is heat management:
- Vented Stainless Steel Pistons: Stainless steel transfers heat far slower than aluminum, keeping your brake fluid from boiling.
- Superior Heat Dissipation: The caliper body is machined to act as a massive heat sink, pulling heat away from the pads and rotor.
- Massive Clamping Force: The six-piston design (54.95 cm² area) provides huge braking torque, engineered to work perfectly with the 718's factory master cylinder for a smooth, progressive feel.
Rear: Evolution Series “ES4” 4-Piston Caliper
You can't just upgrade the front. A proper track setup requires *balance*. The "ES4" rear caliper is the missing piece, designed to perfectly match the front EMB6.
- Perfecting Brake Bias: The ES4's piston area (28.38 cm²) is engineered to shift the brake bias correctly, allowing the car to rotate under trail-braking without locking the rears. This means more stability and faster corner entry.
- Lightweight & Cool: Like the front, it features vented stainless pistons and a skeletonized body for maximum cooling and minimal unsprung weight.

The Full Setup:
- Calipers: Front EMB6 / Rear ES4
- Rotors: High-Carbon GrainSlot™ 2-Piece Rotors
- Pads: M-05+ Motorsport-Compound Pads
This system, from calipers to pads, is a true bolt-on, track-proven solution for any Porsche 718 owner looking to eliminate brake fade for good.
