2025 CTCC Ningbo | Punching Up: How Our 1.5T Civic Clinched a Podium Against 2.0T Monsters

16 Jun 2025

After dominating the TC1 class in Shanghai with four wins in two days, the TTSPORT & YiTRON Racing Team wasn't ready to cruise. We went looking for a real fight. For the CTCC Ningbo round, we jumped into the deep end: the hyper-competitive TCS class.

The catch? We were the lone 1.5T Honda Civic FK7 in a field of 2.0T monsters. This was the ultimate underdog story, and we were here to prove a point.

🏆 We clinched a double-podium finish—runner-up and third place in the TCS class!

🔥 All Guts, No Glory? Why We Pitted a 1.5T Against 2.0T Heavyweights

In Shanghai, our 1.5T FK7 was untouchable. The handling was dialed, but our TTSPORT brakes were the real cheat code, letting our drivers brake later and harder than anyone else, lap after lap, with zero fade.

But winning in your class is one thing. We wanted to prove our tech could hang with *anything*. So, we dove into the TCS class at Ningbo.

This wasn't a compromise; it was a declaration. When you're down on horsepower, you can't win on the straights. You have to win in the braking zones. This race was the ultimate real-world test for our entire team and, most importantly, our TTSPORT brake systems.

🏁 Braking Late, Fighting Hard: The Battle for Ningbo

The Ningbo International Circuit is a beast. It’s notorious for its technical, complex corners and massive braking zones that will cook most brake setups after just a few laps. In the ultra-competitive TCS class, with more power on tap, the stress on the brakes is insane. Drivers have to trust their pedal completely, diving deep into corners while battling wheel-to-wheel.

Despite a setback in the first round, our team was flawless. The techs were on point, and our drivers got back on track, fearless. The #109 car fought its way through the pack, securing both runner-up and third-place trophies. A double-podium finish against 2.0T monsters.

🏆 The Underdog Proves Its Bite

From a clean sweep in Shanghai to a "giant-killer" double-podium in Ningbo, this isn't luck. It's proof. It’s what happens when you combine a dialed chassis with a braking system that refuses to fade.

We proved that raw horsepower doesn't always win the race. A lighter, nimbler car with superior, reliable braking power can—and did—out-maneuver the heavy hitters.

The TTSPORT & YiTRON Racing Team is just getting started. We're running the full CTCC season to keep proving our tech on the track, fuel the motorsport culture, and show the world what our high-performance brakes are capable of.
