TTSPORT Big Brake Kits Take Center Stage at RaceChip's Kuala Lumpur Launch

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

At Southeast Asia's biggest auto show in Kuala Lumpur, held May 22-26, a TTSPORT-equipped Proton S70 shared the spotlight with German tuning brand RaceChip's program launch — putting a Chinese big brake brand on the same stage as an established international name.

A Joint Stage With RaceChip

RaceChip is a German ECU tuning brand founded in 2008, and it's been a leader in the aftermarket performance module space ever since. At its program launch event in Kuala Lumpur, the tuning software developed for the Proton S70 shared floor space with a TTSPORT-equipped show car — and the brake kit ended up drawing as much attention as the ECU.

The display car ran a TTSPORT front-six/rear-four big brake setup — a pairing designed for cars that see real street and track use, not just show duty. It's the kind of detail a knowledgeable crowd notices, and it turned into a natural conversation piece next to RaceChip's power tuning demo.

The collaboration did double duty: it showed TTSPORT's reach in the Malaysian market and, just as important, put the product in front of an international brand and a crowd of serious enthusiasts who judge hardware on sight and feel, not just specs on paper.

Why the Brake Kit Held the Room

TTSPORT Evolution Series ES6 six-piston caliper with 355mm slotted rotor

The show car was fitted with TTSPORT's Evolution Series kit: an ES6 six-piston caliper up front paired with a 355mm slotted rotor, and a four-piston caliper on a matching 355mm slotted rotor at the rear. Bigger pistons and a wider caliper footprint spread clamping force across more pad area, which matters once a car is making more power — a tuned engine builds speed faster, and the brakes need to shed that extra kinetic energy without the pedal going soft.

A rigid, multi-piston caliper body flexes less under load, which keeps pedal feel consistent lap after lap instead of getting long and mushy as the rotors heat up. Slotted rotors help vent gas and debris off the pad surface, which delays fade — the point where heat overwhelms the friction material and stopping power drops off. It's the same logic that decides races, applied here to a build that's meant to be driven, not just displayed.

Growing in Malaysia

TTSPORT officially entered the Malaysian market last year, and demand has picked up fast since — the kits have become a regular request among local enthusiasts. That momentum is down to the local team on the ground, and it's worth calling out the work the Malaysia crew put in to get here.

Sharing a stage with an established German brand like RaceChip is a good marker of where a young brand stands. It's one more sign that a Chinese-made big brake kit can hold its own next to international performance names, and that recognition tends to compound — more shows, more shops, more cars running the parts.

The plan going forward is straightforward: keep building kits that earn attention on their own merits, keep showing up alongside brands the community already trusts, and keep growing from there.
