TTSPORT Named Official Brake Partner of Johor Drift Master in Malaysia
TTSPORT is now an official partner brand of Johor Drift Master, Malaysia's top drift event, with D1GP judge Nobushige Kumakubo on the panel and TTSPORT calipers running front and rear on multiple competition cars.
TTSPORT Joins Johor Drift Master
Drifting rewards speed, but it's won on control. This year TTSPORT went into Southeast Asia's top-tier drift scene as the official brake partner of Johor Drift Master in Malaysia.
The event brought in Japanese drift legend Nobushige Kumakubo as a judge. As one of the most recognized names in the D1 world, his presence raised the bar on the whole weekend — more scrutiny, more attention on every run.
RYUMA's Drift Car: DR6 Front, DR4+2 Rear
Japanese pro driver RYUMA campaigned a car built around TTSPORT's drift-spec braking package: a DR6 six-piston caliper up front and a DR4+2 dual-circuit caliper at the rear.
That's not a spec sheet flex — it's the exact combination that has to survive repeated high-angle entries, hard tandem passes, and back-to-back qualifying runs without losing pedal feel.
Up front, the six-piston DR6 spreads clamping load evenly across a wider pad, which keeps output consistent as temperatures climb through a session — the caliper doesn't flex, so the pedal doesn't go soft.
Why the Brakes Matter: Heat, Stability, and Dual-Circuit Control
Drifting stacks heat into the brakes fast — hard stabs into corner entry, repeated over dozens of runs, with almost no cooldown between them. If a caliper flexes or fluid overheats, the pedal gets long and the car stops responding the way the driver expects mid-slide.
DR6: strength and stability under repeated load
The six-piston front caliper is built for exactly that abuse cycle — high clamping force paired with a rigid body that resists heat-soak fade lap after lap.
DR4+2: two circuits, one caliper
The rear DR4+2 runs a genuinely separate hydraulic circuit for the handbrake and the footbrake. They can fire at the same time without interfering with each other — which matters the instant a driver kicks the tail out and needs the footbrake to keep working independently to manage the transition.
In practice that separation shows up as sharper tail control on entry, a more predictable transition through the clip point, and cleaner throttle pickup on exit — the small margins that separate a clean line from a spin.
International Grid, Global Stage
RYUMA wasn't the only driver on TTSPORT hardware. The lineup also included a New Zealand female drift driver and several top Southeast Asian competitors, all running side by side on the same grid.
A multinational field running the same braking hardware is a real test — TTSPORT calipers now cover everything from street builds to a professional drift grid, judged by a name from the D1 series. From China's own workshops to a Malaysian street circuit, the results have to hold up where everyone can see them.
