Zeekr 001 Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 8657S
Since its debut in 2021, the Zeekr 001 has built a following on its shooting-brake styling, big-battery range, and fast-paced tech updates. But the factory brake system on this car was set up for daily driving, not sustained high-speed or hard-braking use — and this owner decided it was time to close that gap without touching the wheels.

The stock Zeekr 001 comes with single-side dual-piston cast-iron calipers — adequate for commuting, but with real headroom left on the table during hard driving or extended highway speeds. The factory 19-inch dual-spoke wheels, however, were already sized generously enough to accommodate a larger brake package, so a wheel swap wasn't part of this build.
Vehicle & Kit Specs
This install pairs a TTSPORT Classic Series six-piston front caliper with a TTSPORT EP4 electromechanical rear caliper, both running behind the car's stock 19-inch wheels.

Because the 8657S mounts on a vehicle-specific bracket sized to keep the caliper and 405mm rotor within the factory wheel's spoke clearance, the whole front assembly fits behind the stock 19-inch wheel with no spacers involved.
Why It Works
- The 8657S is a forged, two-piece six-piston caliper — the rigid body resists flex under hard pedal pressure, which is what firms up the pedal feel compared to the stock single-side dual-piston cast-iron caliper.
- Stepping up to a 405mm front rotor and 380mm rear rotor adds swept area and thermal mass over the stock discs, giving the system more capacity to absorb heat before fade sets in.
- Two-piece heat-insulated pistons and dust boots on both the 8657S and the EP4 keep heat from soaking back into the brake fluid, which helps maintain a consistent pedal during repeated hard stops.
- Vehicle-specific brackets on both axles place the calipers and rotors within the stock 19-inch wheel's clearance, so this remains a bolt-on upgrade without wheel or spacer changes.
- The rear EP4 caliper keeps the four-piston service brake and the electronic parking brake in one unit, so the factory EPB function carries over after the swap.
