Toyota Alphard Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Mono EMB6
A soft, low pedal is a common complaint on the Toyota Alphard — a heavy MPV asking a lot of its factory floating calipers. To fix it, a TTSPORT partner shop installed a front-six/rear-four big brake kit: a monobloc forged six-piston caliper up front and a two-piece forged four-piston caliper with electronic parking brake (EPB) function in back, both paired with larger high-carbon rotors.
The goal wasn't a track-day setup — it was giving a family MPV a pedal that feels direct and predictable at street speeds, without touching wheel fitment or ride quality.

Compared to the Alphard's factory floating calipers, the fixed six-piston front and four-piston rear design spreads clamping force across more of the pad surface — larger contact area, more even pressure, and less flex under load.
Why It Works
- Forged fixed calipers resist flex under braking load, which is what firms up pedal feel compared to a floating caliper that has to slide on pins.
- Larger 380mm rotors front and rear add mass and surface area, giving the system more thermal capacity to resist fade during repeated or hard stops.
- Vehicle-specific brackets place the calipers correctly behind the Alphard's own 19-inch wheels, so no wheel spacers or offset changes are needed.
- The rear ES4 caliper keeps the factory electronic parking brake function, so no separate handbrake workaround is required.
- Stainless steel lines replace the factory rubber hoses, cutting down on the line expansion that contributes to a spongy pedal.
