Why It Works
This upgrade isn't about bolting on a new caliper — it's about restoring the Cayenne's higher-spec OEM caliper hardware and giving it a rotor that can keep up. A front 10-piston caliper spreads clamping force across more pad area than a 4-piston unit, which improves pedal modulation and reduces the pad flex that makes a brake feel mushy under hard use.
- High-carbon heat treatment raises the rotor's resistance to thermal fatigue, which helps it hold up to repeated hard stops without cracking or warping as quickly, while also cutting noise and wear.
- A Dacromet coating adds corrosion resistance and helps maintain a consistent friction coefficient between the rotor and pad over time.
- Drilled, curved-vane, and slotted rotor designs clear pad debris and increase the rotor's surface contact with airflow, which helps pull heat away faster during hard or repeated braking.
