Porsche 911 Carrera Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Dacromet Rotor

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

As driver-assist systems take on more of the braking workload, the brakes underneath have to keep up. On this Porsche 911 Carrera, the stock front four-piston/rear two-piston setup felt underwhelming for the platform, so the owner — working with installer Jieao Vehicles — moved to factory-upgraded Brembo calipers paired with TTSPORT high-carbon heat-treated rotors, front and rear.

The upgrade path here is OEM-plus: keep the Brembo caliper architecture Porsche already engineers for this chassis, but step up to the higher-spec six-piston front and four-piston rear units, then pair them with TTSPORT's 405mm front and 380mm rear high-carbon heat-treated rotors for the added mass and heat capacity a bigger caliper can actually use.

Vehicle & Kit Specs

Item Specification
Vehicle Porsche 911 Carrera, fits 21-inch wheels and larger
Front caliper OEM-spec Brembo GT3 six-piston caliper (factory upgrade)
Front rotor TTSPORT 405mm high-carbon heat-treated rotor
Rear caliper OEM-spec Brembo four-piston caliper (factory upgrade)
Rear rotor TTSPORT 380mm high-carbon heat-treated rotor
Pads Owner's choice of OEM pads or TTSPORT high-performance street pads
Hardware Mounting bolts, screws, and fitting hardware

Why It Works

Going from front four-piston/rear two-piston to front six-piston/rear four-piston calipers spreads clamping force across more pad area, which generally means better modulation and less pedal travel before bite. But a bigger caliper only pays off if the rotor behind it can absorb and shed the extra heat — that's where the TTSPORT discs come in.

TTSPORT builds these high-carbon heat-treated rotors to pair with a range of aftermarket and factory-upgrade calipers, for street driving, mountain roads, autocross, and general track days alike.

  • High-carbon heat treatment raises the rotor's resistance to heat-cycle fatigue, improves wear resistance, and cuts brake noise.
  • A Dacromet coating resists corrosion and helps keep the friction coefficient between pad and rotor consistent over time.
  • Drilled, curved, or slotted rotor faces vent brake dust and gas so the pad keeps even contact, while adding surface area for airflow-driven cooling.
  • Confirmed fitment behind 21-inch wheels and up, with no reported spacer or clearance issues in this build.

FAQ

What brake hardware is used in this Porsche 911 Carrera upgrade?
The car moved from its stock front four-piston/rear two-piston calipers to factory-upgraded Brembo GT3 six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, matched with TTSPORT 405mm front and 380mm rear high-carbon heat-treated rotors. The kit also includes a choice of OEM or TTSPORT high-performance street pads plus mounting bolts and hardware.
What wheel size does this brake setup require?
This setup fits behind 21-inch wheels or larger.
What does the high-carbon heat treatment do for the TTSPORT rotors?
The high-carbon heat treatment raises the rotor's heat resistance and fatigue resistance, improves wear resistance, and reduces brake noise. The rotors also carry a Dacromet coating for corrosion resistance and consistent pad-to-rotor friction.
