Why It Works
A forged fixed caliper doesn't flex under load the way a sliding single-piston OEM caliper can, so pedal effort goes into clamping the rotor instead of deforming the caliper body — that's the difference between a firm pedal and a mushy one. Stepping up to six pistons up front also spreads clamping force across more pad area, which helps even pressure distribution and pad wear.
- Larger 380x28mm rotors on both axles add mass and surface area, which means more heat capacity and less fade under repeated hard stops.
- Front and rear were upgraded together rather than just the front axle, so front-to-rear brake balance stays proportional instead of overloading one end.
- The rear AP9440 caliper pairs with a Tesla-style small motor, so the car's electric parking brake keeps working after the swap.
- Both calipers clear the factory 19-inch wheels with no spacers needed.
