The Lynk & Co 03 was built to look and drive like a sport sedan, but its factory front brakes tell a different story — a single-piston floating caliper and a modest rotor that just can't back up the styling. This case swaps that setup for a TTSPORT TT9040 six-piston big brake kit on a stock 18-inch wheel, no spacers, no drama.

Built on the CMA platform co-developed by Geely and Volvo, the Lynk & Co 03 pairs a 1.5T engine (offered in two power tunes) with either a 6-speed manual on base trims or a 7-speed wet dual-clutch, riding on a front MacPherson strut / rear multi-link chassis — a fairly conventional layout for the class, which is exactly why the factory single-piston caliper stands out as the weak link.

Why It Works

• A forged six-piston fixed caliper doesn't flex under load the way a single-piston floating caliper does, so pedal input translates more directly into clamping force instead of getting absorbed by caliper deflection.
• Six pistons spread clamping force across a larger pad area than the factory single piston can manage, giving more consistent bite and better modulation.
• The 355x32mm rotor carries more mass and surface area than the factory disc, which means more heat capacity before fade sets in under repeated hard stops.
• The kit was fit-checked behind the Lynk & Co 03's stock 18-inch wheels — no wheel spacers required.

With the caliper and rotor combo tucked behind the factory 18-inch wheel, the six-piston TT9040 fills the spoke opening in a way the stock single-piston setup never could — the visual cue matches the mechanical upgrade underneath.
