The TT8657 is a six-piston, opposed-piston caliper. Every part of it — body and mounting bolts included — is forged rather than cast, which TTSPORT states adds roughly 30% more rigidity than a cast caliper of similar layout. That stiffness matters under hard braking: a caliper that flexes less transmits more of the pedal's clamping force directly to the pad, instead of losing it to caliper deflection.
