This one keeps its factory 18-inch wheels but swaps the stock calipers and rotors for a TTSPORT TT9040 six-piston setup — proof you don't need a wheel change to run a real big brake kit.

The build centers on the TT9040 forged caliper, a TT355x32mm Dacromet-coated rotor, and TTSPORT stainless steel brake lines — all fitted to a Civic still running its original 18-inch wheels, with no spacers or wheel swap involved.

Why It Works

A forged six-piston caliper with three differently sized pistons applies clamping force more evenly across the pad as it wears, which is what gives the pedal a more linear, predictable feel compared to a single-piston stock caliper. Stepping up to a 355x32mm rotor also adds more mass and surface area to soak up and shed heat, so repeated hard stops are less likely to fade the pedal.

The Dacromet coating on the rotor isn't just cosmetic — it's an added corrosion-resistant layer that also gives the disc some extra physical protection from road debris, on top of the finish.
