Why choose the EMB4 over the ES4 rear caliper?
The EMB4 is a **monoblock forged** caliper, meaning it's carved from a single block of aluminum. This creates the strongest, stiffest, and lightest caliper possible, matching the premium construction of the flagship EMB6 front caliper. The ES4 is a **two-piece forged** caliper that offers fantastic performance, but the EMB4 is the ultimate choice for drivers who demand the absolute best.
Will this work with my stock parking brake?
The EMB4 is a high-performance hydraulic caliper and does not have a parking brake function. It's designed for cars that use a separate parking brake system (like an electronic brake on a different caliper or a drum-in-hat setup). If your car has an integrated electronic parking brake on the rear caliper, you need our **EP4S** model.
Is upgrading my rear brakes really necessary?
Absolutely. When you install a much larger front big brake kit, you shift the car's brake bias heavily to the front. This can make the car unstable and unpredictable under hard braking. The EMB4 is engineered to restore that critical front-to-rear balance, ensuring safe, stable, and confidence-inspiring performance.

2. Initial Break‑In Procedure

  1. In a safe area, brake from 60 km/h to 10 km/h with moderate pressure—repeat 10 times.
  2. Drive 500–1,000 km with light to moderate usage before full braking performance. Avoid aggressive stops.
  3. Our high‑carbon steel discs have grooved, color‑treated surfaces to help quick bedding and resist corrosion.

3. Product Warranty

  • Calipers: 1‑year warranty on defects. Lifetime maintenance available (parts charged).
  • Discs & Hoses: 90‑day warranty for defects. Expected lifespan: 40,000–60,000 km.
  • Brake Pads: 90‑day coverage. Typical lifespan: 20,000–40,000 km.

4. Usage & Maintenance

  1. Do not wash immediately after hard braking to prevent rotor warpage.
  2. Allow extra stopping distance when driving in wet conditions.
