Zeekr 009 Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Evolution ES6

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

The Zeekr 009 is a big, heavy electric MPV, and vehicles in that class ask a lot of their stock brakes — long pedal travel, more effort at the pedal, and less margin when you're carrying a full load of passengers. This owner went the OEM+ route and swapped the front stock calipers for the TTSPORT ES6, a six-piston big brake kit from the Evolution Series.

The ES6 is a front-axle six-piston forged caliper built for larger EVs and heavier platforms that need more clamping area than the stock single- or dual-piston setup can offer, without moving into a full track-oriented package.

A stock floating caliper flexes under load, and that flex shows up as a spongy pedal even when the fluid and pads are healthy. A forged monobloc body like the ES6's doesn't have that give — the six pistons apply even, direct clamping force across the pad, so pedal effort translates more directly into stopping torque instead of getting absorbed by caliper deflection.

Why It Works

  • Six-piston clamping spreads force more evenly across the pad face than a stock single- or dual-piston caliper, which helps pedal feel firm up under repeated braking.
  • Two-piece heat-insulated pistons limit how much brake heat transfers back into the caliper body and fluid, which matters more on a heavier EV that leans on friction braking during regen handoff.
  • The radial-mount design pairs with a bracket engineered to the Zeekr 009's own hub and knuckle geometry, rather than a universal adapter — that's why fitment on kits like this is done one platform at a time.

Installation Gallery

What TTSPORT kit was installed on this Zeekr 009?
The Zeekr 009 in this case was fitted with the TTSPORT ES6, a front six-piston big brake kit from the Evolution Series.
What wheel size does the ES6 kit need?
Per the ES6 spec sheet, TTSPORT recommends 18-inch wheels or larger to clear the caliper.
Is the ES6 caliper a forged design?
Yes. The ES6 uses a two-piece forged aluminum caliper body with two-piece heat-insulated pistons and dust boots.
