Volkswagen Scirocco Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 5410
The Volkswagen Scirocco rides on the PQ35 platform — the same architecture underneath the Golf, Jetta/Sagitar, Tiguan, and Audi TT — with a 2.0T turbo four paired to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. It's a car built to be driven hard, and after some miles a lot of owners find the factory brake feel doesn't quite match the rest of the package. This Scirocco's owner addressed that with a TTSPORT setup: a front TT5410 forged caliper kit and a rear TT325mm oversized rotor kit.
With 18-inch wheels on the car, there was room to go with a real big brake kit up front instead of just swapping pads — so that's the route this build took.

Why It Works
The TT5410 uses a two-piece forged aluminum caliper body rather than a cast one. Forging packs the material tighter, so the caliper flexes less under pressure — that's less energy lost to caliper deflection and more of it going straight into clamping the pad against the rotor, which is what a firmer pedal actually comes down to.
- Four-piston front caliper spreads clamping force over more pad area than the factory setup, for a firmer, more consistent pedal.
- The 355mm front rotor adds mass and surface area over stock, which means more heat capacity before fade sets in on repeated hard stops.
- The kit was engineered to clear the car's factory 18-inch wheels, so no spacers or wheel changes were needed to run it.
- The rear TT325x10mm oversized rotor keeps braking balance in check on the back axle instead of leaving the front to do all the extra work.
Upgrading the rear rotor also gets fresh stainless steel lines in the loop, which resist the swelling a stock rubber line can develop under repeated heat cycles — another small piece of keeping the pedal feeling the same lap after lap.
