That's a lot of car for a stock brake system that was never built with that kind of repeated hard braking in mind. This owner addressed it with a TTSPORT 8703S six-piston caliper kit, a 380x34mm high-carbon heat-treated rotor, and stainless steel brake lines.

The Scirocco R's tidy, low stance and 19-inch wheels leave real room behind the spokes for a proper big-brake caliper — which made this an easy fit for the six-piston 8703S without any wheel changes.

Why It Works

The upgrade comes down to two basics: how much pad contacts the rotor, and how much rotor there is to soak up heat.

• Six pistons spread clamping force across a much larger pad surface than the factory caliper, which keeps braking force consistent even under repeated hard stops.
• Stepping up to a 380mm rotor from the stock disc adds mass and surface area, giving the system more capacity to absorb and shed heat before fade sets in.
• Stainless steel lines resist expansion under pressure compared to rubber hoses, which translates to a firmer, more predictable pedal.

Set next to the factory disc, the size difference is obvious — and it's the reason the stopping-power gap between the two setups isn't subtle either.
