Volkswagen CC Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 8703

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

The Volkswagen CC has a reputation for being one of VW's best-looking sedans, but its factory brakes were never built for spirited driving. We'd previously fitted this same CC with a TT9040 six-piston kit and larger rear rotors; this time around, the owner brought the car back in for a front-axle upgrade to the TTSPORT Classic 8703 kit — a monobloc six-piston caliper paired with a 380x34mm high-carbon rotor, running behind the car's factory 19-inch wheels.

The kit is built around an aluminum-alloy caliper cast as a single piece rather than bolted halves, which keeps the caliper body rigid under hard braking. The opposed six-piston layout is designed to clamp the pad more evenly across its surface, and the caliper carries dust-boot seals that are meant to cut down on maintenance over time.

Vehicle & Kit Specs

Here's the hardware that went on this particular Volkswagen CC:

Item Specification
Vehicle 2019 Volkswagen CC, factory 19-inch wheels
Front caliper TTSPORT 8703 forged monobloc six-piston caliper, one-piece aluminum-alloy casting
Front rotor TT 380x34mm two-piece high-carbon heat-treated directional-vane rotor, coated finish
Bracket TTSPORT vehicle-specific caliper bracket for the Volkswagen CC
Lines TTSPORT stainless steel braided brake lines
Hardware Mounting bolts, torque-spec fasteners, bleed hardware

Why It Works

  • One-piece monobloc casting on the 8703 caliper resists the flex a two-piece bolted caliper can develop under repeated hard stops, which helps the pedal stay firm and consistent rather than going soft.
  • The six opposed pistons apply pressure across the pad more evenly than the CC's factory single-piston sliding caliper, giving a more linear feel as pedal pressure increases.
  • The 380x34mm rotor is far larger and thicker than the stock disc, adding surface area and mass that help absorb and shed heat during repeated braking instead of fading.
  • The directional vane pattern is designed to sweep dust off the pad face and pull air through the rotor for cooling, versus the solid, non-vented factory disc.
  • Stainless steel lines don't balloon under pressure the way rubber hoses can, cutting out the mushy delay that comes from line expansion.

With the vehicle-specific bracket in place, the caliper and rotor mounted right in the factory location and cleared the CC's stock 19-inch wheels — no spacers needed.

FAQ

What's included in the TTSPORT Classic 8703 kit for the Volkswagen CC?
The front kit includes the TTSPORT 8703 forged monobloc six-piston caliper, a 380x34mm two-piece high-carbon heat-treated directional-vane rotor, a vehicle-specific caliper bracket, and TTSPORT stainless steel brake lines.
Does the TTSPORT 8703 kit fit behind the Volkswagen CC's stock 19-inch wheels?
Yes. On this build the kit mounted in the stock caliper location using the vehicle-specific bracket and cleared the factory 19-inch wheels with no spacers.
Why does TTSPORT use a directional-vane rotor design?
The directional vane pattern helps clear brake dust off the pad surface and improves airflow through the rotor, which supports cooling and helps reduce heat fade compared to the solid, non-vented factory disc.
