Toyota Alphard Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT EPB TT8903

The Toyota Alphard is a luxury MPV built around comfort and presence, not lap times — but its 3.5L V6 (202kW / 340Nm) still moves a lot of vehicle. On this build the owner wanted brake hardware that matched the car's status: a full TTSPORT big brake kit up front and back, including a caliper solution that keeps the factory electronic parking brake working.

Up front, TTSPORT installed the TT8703 — a monobloc cast six-piston caliper finished in red — matched to a 380x34mm high-carbon heat-treated slotted rotor. The bigger disc fills out the wheel and gives the front axle a lot more clamping area than the stock setup.

Front Six-Piston, Rear Four-Piston Plus EPB

The rear axle runs the TT8903 caliper, an aluminum alloy one-piece casting with an opposed four-piston layout and built-in dust-boot seals that cut down on maintenance. Because the Alphard uses an electronic parking brake, TTSPORT paired it with an EPB motor caliper so the factory auto-hold and parking brake function keeps working with the bigger hardware in place.

Why It Works

• A monobloc cast caliper flexes less under load than a floating stock caliper, so more of your pedal pressure goes into clamping force instead of caliper deflection — that's what a firmer pedal actually comes from.
• The 380x34mm front and 380x28mm rear rotors carry more mass and surface area than stock discs, giving the system more thermal capacity before heat buildup starts to fade the pads.
• High-carbon heat-treated rotor material and the slotted face are aimed at consistent friction and better heat dissipation over repeated stops, which matters on a heavy MPV.
• The rear EPB motor caliper keeps the electronic parking brake fully functional, so upgrading rear stopping power doesn't mean giving up the factory auto-hold feature.
