Tesla Model 3 Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT EPB Series

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

Tesla's Model 3 is quick, heavy, and stops on single-piston floating calipers sized for a normal commuter car — not for repeated hard braking with an EV's curb weight behind it. Push the stock setup on a mountain road or a track day and the pedal goes long and soft fast. This case swaps in a TTSPORT big brake kit front and rear — a six-piston forged caliper up front, a four-piston forged caliper in back — to give the pedal some structure back without losing the car's factory electronic parking brake.

Vehicle & Kit Specs

Item Specification
Vehicle Tesla Model 3 (all-electric sedan)
Kit configuration Front and rear big brake kit — dual-axle upgrade
Front caliper TTSPORT six-piston forged fixed caliper
Rear caliper TTSPORT four-piston forged fixed caliper, engineered to retain the factory electronic parking brake

Why It Works

  • A forged, fixed-caliper body doesn't flex under load the way a stock floating single-piston caliper does, so pedal travel stays short and consistent instead of growing softer the harder you push.
  • Six pistons up front and four out back spread clamp load over more pad area, which means more usable friction surface per stop and less reliance on one small contact patch doing all the work.
  • An EV like the Model 3 carries extra weight from its battery pack, so more brake hardware — bigger calipers, more piston area — gives the system more margin before it starts to fade on repeated stops.
  • Because the rear caliper is built around the Model 3's factory electronic parking brake, the upgrade doesn't turn the parking brake into an aftermarket workaround — it keeps the OEM push-button function intact.

Parking Brake & Fitment

One of the trickier parts of building a big brake kit for a Model 3 is the rear caliper — it's not just a friction brake, it's also where the factory electronic parking brake lives. A generic rear caliper swap risks losing that function entirely. TTSPORT's EPB-compatible rear caliper is built specifically around that constraint, so the car keeps its normal park/release behavior after the front and rear calipers are replaced.

What does this Tesla Model 3 brake kit include?
The upgrade replaces the factory calipers at both ends of the car with a TTSPORT big brake kit: a six-piston forged fixed caliper up front and a four-piston forged fixed caliper at the rear.
Does the rear caliper work with the Model 3's electronic parking brake?
Yes. The rear caliper is a TTSPORT EPB-series design engineered to retain the factory push-button electronic parking brake function, so drivers keep that feature after the upgrade.
