The owner went straight for the top of the lineup: a TTSPORT TT8657 kit in yellow. Rather than settle for a mild pad-and-line refresh, this build swaps in a full six-piston front caliper and a larger rotor sized to match the car's 18-inch wheels.

The TT8657 caliper is built as a split forged unit — two forged caliper halves bolted together rather than a single cast piece. Forging aligns the metal's grain structure and produces a denser, stiffer body than casting, so the caliper flexes less under hard pedal pressure. Less caliper flex means the pads clamp more consistently and the pedal feels firmer instead of spongy.

Why It Works

• Split forged six-piston construction resists flex better than a stock caliper, which translates directly into firmer, more predictable pedal feel.
• The 355x32mm rotor has more mass and swept area than the factory disc, giving it more thermal capacity to absorb heat before fade sets in during hard or repeated stops.
• The kit was sized and installed to clear the car's stock 18-inch wheels, so there's no need for spacers or a wheel swap to run this setup.
• The radial-slotted rotor face continuously clears dust generated by pad friction, which helps keep the wheel face cleaner between washes.
