Mercedes-Benz CLS Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 8657

The Mercedes-Benz CLS blends coupe-like styling with sedan comfort, and its factory brakes are already strong performers. But brake performance is never really "finished" — there's always room to do better. This owner pulled the factory calipers and rotors and installed a TTSPORT front six-piston / rear four-piston big brake kit sized to fit behind the car's factory 19-inch wheels.

The kit pairs a TT8657 forged six-piston caliper up front with a TT6411 four-piston caliper at the rear, running 380mm high-carbon, heat-treated drilled rotors on both axles. Both calipers are machined from aluminum in a monobloc (one-piece) body, which cuts unsprung mass and improves how the car responds to braking inputs compared to a heavier, less rigid factory setup.

Why It Works

A monobloc aluminum caliper body doesn't flex under load the way a lighter factory caliper can, so pedal input translates more directly into clamping force — the pedal feels firmer and more predictable.
