Mazda 3 (Axela) Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 5200

by LinLynn 16 Jul 2026

This Mazda 3 Axela already turns heads for its styling, but the stock brakes behind the wheels didn't match the rest of the car. The owner swapped in a TTSPORT TT5200 forged four-piston big brake kit — and the red calipers now do as much for curb appeal as they do for stopping power.

The Mazda 3 Axela leans into sharp, mostly curveless bodywork — the kind of design that already gets a lot of looks. Swapping in the TT5200 kit gave the car a stance to match, with the red caliper filling out the wheel opening instead of hiding behind it.

Why It Works

A forged four-piston caliper clamps more evenly across the pad than a stock sliding single- or two-piston unit, which cuts down on the flex that makes a pedal feel soft under hard braking. Larger, stiffer pistons mean more consistent pad contact every time you press the pedal, not just the first time.

The 330x28mm rotor adds mass and surface area over the factory disc, so it absorbs and sheds more heat before fade sets in. TTSPORT applies a protective coating to the sections of the rotor the pads never touch, which helps keep rust from spreading across the rest of the disc over time.

  • Forged four-piston caliper for firmer, more even pad clamping
  • 330x28mm rotor adds heat capacity over the stock disc
  • Rated for 17-inch wheels and up, and fits cleanly behind this car's 18s

The TT5200 kit fills out the Mazda 3's wheel wells without crowding them — the calipers and rotors sit comfortably behind the factory 18s.
