Li Auto ONE Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 8657
Li Auto ONE owners know the numbers on paper: a 1.2T range-extender plus dual permanent-magnet motors, 240kW combined output, 530Nm of torque, and a 0-100km/h sprint of 6.5 seconds for a full-size SUV. That kind of acceleration in a heavy three-row vehicle puts real demand on the factory single-piston front brakes. One owner decided the stopping power needed to match the go, and brought the car in for a TTSPORT brake upgrade.
The build swapped the stock front binders for a TTSPORT TT8657 forged six-piston caliper kit paired with a 380x34mm high-carbon heat-treated curved rotor and TTSPORT stainless brake lines. The car runs 20-inch factory wheels, and the kit was selected specifically to clear them without spacers or wheel changes.

Why It Works
- The TT8657 caliper body is forged under high tonnage rather than cast, which packs the material denser and stiffer. A stiffer caliper flexes less under clamping load, so pedal input translates more directly into pad pressure instead of getting absorbed by caliper deflection.
- Going from a single-piston sliding caliper to a fixed six-piston design spreads clamping force more evenly across the pad, giving a more linear, predictable pedal feel and a wider range of modulation for the driver.
- Stepping up rotor diameter to 380mm increases the distance between the pad contact point and the rotor's center — a longer lever arm. With the same clamping force and friction coefficient, that longer lever arm produces more braking torque, which is what actually shortens stopping distance.
- The heat-treated, curved rotor surface is built for better heat dissipation and corrosion resistance than a plain-face factory disc, which matters on a heavy SUV that generates more thermal load per stop.
- The kit was fitted and confirmed to sit behind the car's stock 20-inch wheels, so there's no need for wheel spacers or a wheel change to run this setup.
The silver-white coating on the TT8657 gives it a cleaner, more finished look than a bare caliper, and it's the same forged unit regardless of finish — the coating is cosmetic, the strength comes from the forging process itself.
