Honda Gienia Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Direct-Mount Wood

The Honda Gienia's stock single-piston front brake gets the job done, but it's built to a budget — a mushy pedal and a caliper that doesn't do much for confidence when you're carrying speed into a corner. This Gienia owner swapped in a TTSPORT Wood forged four-piston big brake kit, one designed specifically for small-wheel compact cars, without giving up the stock 15-inch wheels.

The stock single-piston caliper and rotor came off the front axle and were replaced with the TTSPORT Wood forged four-piston caliper, a TT262 x 21mm high-carbon heat-treated slotted rotor, and stainless steel brake lines. The kit can be installed as a caliper-only upgrade over the stock rotor, or as the full set shown here for a more thorough brake overhaul.

Why It Works

Going from one piston to four spreads clamping force more evenly across the pad, which firms up pedal feel and sharpens response — you get more brake for the same pedal effort instead of squeezing harder and waiting. The Wood caliper's compact body was designed with small-wheel fitment in mind, which is why it clears the Gienia's stock 15-inch wheels without needing a wheel or spacer change.
