BYD Song MAX Big Brake Kit Upgrade / TTSPORT Classic 6411
This BYD Song MAX already had a big front brake kit on it. But the owner wanted the rear axle to match — a stock rear caliper and drum-in-hat style parking brake setup don't do much for pedal balance once the front end has real clamping power. The fix: a TTSPORT rear-axle kit built around the 6411 caliper, paired with an EPB electronic parking-brake caliper so the handbrake function carries over cleanly.
The Song MAX is BYD's mid-size MPV, running a 1.5T turbo four and built on the brand's "Dragon Face" design language. It's quick for its class — but a fast MPV still needs brakes that can back up that speed, front and rear. The owner runs 18-inch wheels, which is the clearance TTSPORT sized this kit around.
A Repeat Customer, Finishing the Job on the Rear
About a month before this install, the same owner had already upgraded the front axle with a TTSPORT 9200 big four-piston kit. Once that front end was sorted, he went back, measured his wheel clearance, and came back for the rear — a sign the front kit was doing its job well enough to justify finishing the car properly.
This time around the rear axle got a TTSPORT 6411 split-cast four-piston caliper matched to a 355x28mm high-carbon heat-treated curved-vane rotor, plus an EPB electronic parking-brake caliper and stainless steel lines to round out the rear.

Why It Works
- A split-cast four-piston caliper clamps from both sides of the rotor with a rigid, two-piece body, which cuts down on the flex you get from a factory sliding single-piston caliper — that's what gives a firmer, more linear pedal at the rear.
- The 355x28mm rotor has more thermal mass than the stock rear disc, and the curved-vane design pulls air through the rotor to shed heat faster, which matters on a heavier MPV under repeated braking.
- The EPB caliper keeps the electronic parking brake function without any machining of the factory caliper bracket, so the OEM mounting hardware and vehicle wiring stay untouched.
- Both calipers were sized to clear the owner's 18-inch wheels with no spacers, and the install went in with no vibration or noise reported.
